Josh Malin is one of the most exciting young talents in British Motorsport, and has been recognised as such with the prestigious and world-renowned British Racing Driver's Club (BRDC) granting him "Rising Star" status.

Josh has an inspirational story of overcoming the odds to launch a racing career.

Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of four, Josh was told that he would never be able to follow a career in motorsport. Even at that young age, he did not stand by and be restricted by the condition, and he has fought hard to become the athlete he always wanted to be.

A second place finish in his first ever car race aged 16 was a sign of things to come for the Dorset racer, becoming BARC MaX5 Racing Championship Class B Champion in 2017 and then Class A Champion the following year.

After scoring six podium finishes in his debut Ginetta GT5 Challenge campaign in 2019, 2020 saw Josh with 7 wins from 14 races and a richly deserved Championship victory.

The 2021 season saw Josh fulfil a childhood ambition by returning to Richardson Racing to compete in the ultra competitive Porsche Carrera Cup GB, with 2 podiums and 1 fastest lap Josh secured an amazing second place in the Rookie Championship.

Josh was drafted in for 3 rounds in 2022 Porsche Carrera Cup GB when Jack Bartholomew sustained serious injuries in a cycling accident. Not having driven the 992 version of the car he achieved 2 podiums and several top 5 finishes which enabled Richardson Racing to secure the Team Championship.

Josh joined Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport from Round 5 of the 2023 season.

Josh competed with Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport for 6 of the 8 rounds of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB 2023 having been sought out by the team as a replacement driver. The primary objective of drafting him in for yet another 'super sub' appearance was to win the Team's Championship. With multiple podiums, including a double podium at the last round, Josh not only achieved this objective for the team, but with a series of superbly consistent performances, he secured himself 3rd place overall in the Driver's Championship!!

Based on these performances, Josh has now been recognised by Porsche as their 2023 Carrera Cup GB "Driver of the Year"!
